Meet the CCB Staff

 

Marshall Rosier, MS, CAC, CCDP, LADC
Executive Director   
Marshall Rosier is the Executive Director of the Connecticut Certification Board, Inc. where he is actively involved in workforce development, credentialing and developing recovery-oriented and competency-based standards for behavioral health professionals in the State of Connecticut. Marshall is a published author, consultant and trainer specializing in co-occurring substance use and mental disorders. Marshall is a Certified Addiction Counselor, a Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Previously, Marshall coordinated the co-occurring disorders programming for a large outpatient methadone maintenance program where he worked extensively with people in recovery from co-occurring substance use and mental disorders. Marshall graduated from Yale University with a Masters of Science degree in Psychology, with a specialty in social cognition and esteem and received his early training at the Haight Ashbury Free Clinics in San Francisco, California. He is currently the co-chair of the co-occurring disorders committee of the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium where he is actively involved in the development of international credentialing standards for co-occurring disorders. 

Karen Ferranti
Office Manager
Karen has recently joined the CCB team as Office Manager, bringing with her many years of administrative management in the for-profit sector and having held various positions in Operations Management mostly in the finance and insurance field.   Always having an affinity for helping others, she taught preschool and owned a family daycare business earlier on, and most recently has been involved in a family business providing safe, sober housing for those in recovery in the Greater New Haven area.  Currently pursuing a B.A. in Psychology at Southern CT State University, she hopes to work towards certification and licensure while supporting the efforts and vision of the CT Certification Board. 

Michelle Healey, CAC, SCCD, MATS, ADS
DARC Liaison
Michelle is the newest member of our team, bringing with her almost two decades of experience in the field.  Michelle has been employed in various treatment settings where she worked extensively with special populations.  Over the past 5 ½ years, she has developed recovery oriented, strength based programming for clientele whose primary diagnosis was HIV/AIDS.  She has been a primary facilitator of a behavioral health program and coordinator of a Wellness Team.  Michelle has been a trainer, presenter, and teaching assistant. She is on the membership committee for CT AIDS Resource Coalition.  She was an originating member of Connecticut Community for Addictions Recovery.  She was a founding member and officer of the DARC Club at Gateway Community Technical College.  She was also the founding member and original president of the Patient Advocacy Committee for an outpatient methadone maintenance clinic in New Haven.  She has advocated at the legislative level for policy and funding changes for HIV/AIDS, syringe exchange programs, and methadone maintenance.  Michelle graduated with an Associate's Degree in Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Counseling and was awarded DARC Student of the Year in 1999.  She is certified as an Acupuncture Detox Specialist, CCB certified as a Certified Addiction Counselor, Specialty Certificate in Co-Occurring Disorders and Medication Assisted Treatment Specialist and has served as a subject matter expert on the development of the MATS credential.  Michelle is enthusiastic and passionate about promoting the mission of the CCB and being of service to those who seek certification.
